Mr. Torres
Hola, my name is Mario Torres. Let me share a little about me.
I was born in a beautiful town, Tangamandapio, Michuacan Mexico.
To me Ventura County has perfect weather, great festivals, great
hiking trails, beaches, and an overall great social environment.
What can I say about my family. They are extremely supportive,
reliable, and very loving in everyway. It did not mater the
career path that I would have chosen, I know they would of
been there for me. My parents have been married for
39 years, soon 40 years this coming October. I have 6 siblings,
which my older brother passed away when just an infant. I've
learned to understand that what is said about the middle child is
true, "The Peace keeper". As far as I can remember, my sibling
always made there way to me for advice or to make peace between
two of my siblings. To this day, my role as the peace keeper
has not changed, but now I have my parents added to the loop, oh
and nieces and nephews. Overall, I LOVE my family and I would NOT
trade any of them.
Education was never easy for me, but I always managed to make
my parents proud. Attaining many awards throughout my Elementary,
Junior High, High School, College, and Universities. From my
family I was the first to receive an Associates, Bachelor, and
I hope to attain my Masters with both Credentials in December 2011.
My Father always told me that I needed to get ahead in life
and the only way to achieve that goal would be by focusing in my
education.
My travels have been such amazing experiences. I've been able to
travel to many countries and that has allowed me to gain so many
wonderful friends all over the world. I plan to continue to
explore other wonders of the word and also continue to make life
lasting friendships.
As my career in education continues to expand, I continue to
look into ways I can continue to grow as a professional educator.
I have worked for the Oxnard Elementary School District for
close to 13 years in many capacities in management. I have
enjoyed every moment of my experience, but 2 years ago I choose
to look into a slightly different path. I wanted to be classroom
teacher, but know the question arose, in what capacity? General Ed.,
Mild to Moderate, or Moderate to Sever. After all my research I
choose, Mild to Moderate. I believe in myself to be able to be a
positive role model and make a difference in the lives of these
children. I want to be able to incorporate as much technology as
I am able to, technology is the way that we are all headed to.
In 3-5 years I see myself as a successful mild to moderate teacher.
Who is always seeking new and better methods to incorporate in my
classroom. During my 3 year, I would like to enroll I a second
Masters or Doctorates program in Educational Administration.
In 5 plus years of being a successful Mild to Moderate Teacher,
I would like to continue my career path in Administration, as
either Principal or Pupil Services Director. I want to make a
positive impact in the lives of our future leader of our country.
We have wonderful teachers that with proper training and support
can achieve wonder with our students. I would like to
retire as a successful Superintendent, who left a successful
educational program well established for generation to come.
